Venue Visits: The Biltmore Ballrooms

One vital step in the event and wedding planning process is choosing the perfect venue for your special day. With this in mind, we’re so excited to officially begin our new series of blog posts titled “Venue Visits.” In each of these posts, we’ll spotlight one highly sought after venue in or around the Atlanta area plus all the information you’ll need to get a good idea on if this could be the right venue for you. These posts will be coupled with an Instagram reel giving you a visual tour of the space, so don’t miss those over on our Instagram @districteventscatering

We couldn’t think of any place better to start off this new series than the stunning Biltmore Ballrooms located in the heart of Midtown.

Built in 1924, this venue was once a bustling hotel called the Biltmore Hotel. After almost sixty years of operation, the Biltmore Hotel closed its doors in 1982 following years of decline. Thankfully, after sixteen years of abandonment, the Biltmore was brought back to life in the year 1999 and got some much needed TLC to become what it is today.

The former hotel was transformed into a combination of Class A office space, retail space, and special event space. While it did undergo a thorough renovation, the breathtaking special event spaces still feature original handcrafted plaster relief ceilings and restored crystal chandeliers.

Featuring two ballrooms, the Imperial Ballroom and the Georgian Ballroom, this venue holds the potential to host parties of fifty to fifteen-hundred guests. The two ballrooms are connected by a suite of lobby and pre-function spaces, and you may rent any combination of these spaces. For weddings, this gives you the option to hold the ceremony in one ballroom and the reception in the other or just rent one ballroom and do a full room flip while guests are moved into the pre-function space for social hour.

Just accounting for the ballroom rental for a four hour event, expect to spend between $4,000 to $6,000. Friday and Saturday dates are more sought after, so those rates are the most expensive with Sunday-Thursday rates being slightly discounted (outside of high-demand dates, such as holidays). A number of tables and chairs are provided with ballroom rentals.

For evening or weekend events, guests can park themselves in The Biltmore Garage for $15/car. One Parking attendant at $250.00 is required for each event, and Valet attendants can be added for an additional fee.
